Naharaja: Blue Catastrophe

Some of the Hindu gods have the sickest designs I have encountered in mythology. It took me long enough, but I finally got around to making a character inspired by Hindu gods (and Kazuma Kaneko's design of Hindu gods). Or rather, I finally got around to putting my first Hindu-inspired character into Photoshop and painting her up. Naharaja is a destroyer, and her original pose did not really display that. So, I took the opportunity to make her pose more aggressive and it helped immensely. Her coloration also makes her look playful, which was not intentional but I admire. I made a point of cleaning up my line work here, but I also went heavy on the cross hatching, as I have fallen back in love with the technique. Her six arms were incredibly fun to pose, and I will be using multiple limbs in future designs. I would say this is my favorite original design I have made in quite some time.
